Berthiaume and Rote Earn All-NEWMAC Honors Babson Park, Mass. - February 26, 2013 - Both Alex Berthiaume and Jordan Rote were selected to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Basketball All-Conference teams. Berthiaume earned first-team honors for the second-straight season, while Rote picked up second-team honors for the first time in his career.

Last year's NEWMAC Player of the Year, Berthiaume had a standout senior campaign as he led the league in scoring with 17.5 points per game. Shooting nearly 42% from the field for the season, Berthiaume scored at least 20 points in 12 games this season. A local product of Springfield, Mass., he was second on the team with 65 assists and third in steals with 40.

Rote had a tremendous final year for the Pride. A native of Sheffield, Mass., Rote ranks second on the team in scoring with 14.3 points per game, breaking the 20-point barrier five times this year, including a 30-point outburst at Babson. He also added 95 rebounds, 50 assists, and a team-best 50 steals.
