Men's Track & Field Finishes 6th at New England Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., February 22, 2003 - Springfield College senior Jason Jackson (Phippsburg, Maine) captured first place in both the 55-meter dash (6.54) and the 200-meter dash (22.35) to lead the Pride to a sixth place finish out of 23 scoring teams at the Division III New England Men's Indoor Track and Field Championship at MIT on Saturday.

SC sophomore Blake Gulino (Old Saybrook, Conn.) also took first place in the long jump competition with a winning jump of 23 feet.

The Pride also received contributions from senior Ethan Brown (Somers, Conn.) who finished fourth in the high jump (6-06.25) and senior Jon Notary (Bethlehem, Pa.) who placed sixth in the 600-meter run (1:23.86).
