



Wellesley, Mass. -- March 1, 2012 -- A total of four players from the Springfield College women's basketball team have been named to the 2011-12 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference All-Academic team. They include Meghan Biondolillo, Andrea Butler, Briana Freymuth, and Kelly Murphy.There were 24 named overall to the NEWMAC All-Academic Team in women's basketball from 10 schools.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, achieved second year academic status at her institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
Biondolillo, a junior guard, is a health science/general studies major from Levittown, N.Y. Butler, a senior guard, is a sport management major from Cohoes, N.Y. Freymuth, a junior guard, is an occupational therapy major from Bolton, Conn. And Murphy, a senior guard, is an English/elementary education major from Mechanicville, N.Y.
Entering her 22nd season as head coach in 2012-13, Naomi Graves has directed her squads to an impressive 306-156 record (.662 winning percentage) since joining the Division III ranks in 1995. Graves has led the Pride to 12 post-season bids in the past 17 years, including five berths in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
