Gallo and Bradley Earn NEWMAC All-Conference Honors

2010 NEWMAC Field Hockey All-Conference Honorees Babson Park, Mass. - November 9, 2010 - Freshman Kelly Gallo and senior Meg Bradley were honored for their excellence this season as they were selected to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Field Hockey All-Conference teams on Tuesday. Gallo took home first-team honors, while Bradley was named to the second team.

Gallo made a splash in her first season in Maroon and White as was named to the all-conference first team. The Westfield, Mass. native led Springfield in scoring with 27 points off 11 goals and five assists. The first-year was solid in conference play as she recorded five goals and four helpers against league foes. Gallo was just one of two freshman to be named all-conference, as both were first-team selections.

For Bradley, it marked the third time in her career that she was selected as an all-conference performer. She was named to the second team in 2008 and was a first-team honoree in 2009. The Cumberland, R.I. product was once again the core of Springfield's defense and a constant threat on penalty corners. A constant competitor on the field, Bradley notched two goals and an assist in her final season with Springfield.

The Pride wrapped up its season last weekend as it fell in the NEWMAC Championship Semifinals to the eventual conference-champion, Babson College.
