Men's Gymnastics Takes Third Against Army and Stanford

West Point, N.Y. - March 9, 2013 - The Springfield College men's gymnastics team finished third among three teams competing at Army on Saturday as it scored a total of 403.300 points.

Stanford took first in the competition with 438.600 points, followed by the host Black Knights who posted a 413.500.

For the Pride, Andy Grabowski posted its best score on the floor, registering a 14.050.

Both Pat Ryther and Jon Zirna had had strong showings on the pommel with 13.95's each, and Ryan Ponce led Springfield on the rings with a 14.600.

On the vault, Chris Jost registered a team-best 14.250, and Kevin Miner tallied a 13.800 on the parallel bars for the Pride. Finally, Tucker McClure recorded a team-best 13.250 on the high bar.

Springfield will have its final home dual meet of the season on Sunday, March 17 when it hosts Army at 1:00 pm.
