



Springfield, Mass. - September 29, 2011 - For the first time in program history, a member of the Springfield College women's volleyball team will be blogging throughout the season to provide an inside look of what it's like to be a college student-athlete. This fall, senior Lauren Torvi will be chronicling the Pride's season. With Springfield off to its best start in program history, Torvi will provide updates and insight on the Pride's historic season. Entering her fourth season as a member of the Pride, the North Smithfield, R.I. native will look to lead Springfield to its second-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Moira Long will enter her third season as head women's volleyball coach in the fall of 2013. Long wasted little time putting her stamp on the program, taking the Pride to the NCAA Championship Elite Eight in 2011.
