



HKOSH, Wisc. - May 23, 2008 - Sophomore Steve Headley ran the second fastest time of the day in the prelims of the 100 meter dash at the NCAA Championships on Friday evening.Headley crossed the finish line, with the wind at his back, in a time of 10.59. His previous fastest time of the season had been a 10.63 last weekend at the ECAC Championships at Springfield College. Headley will run in lane four on Saturday afternoon. Amaan Siddeeq from Cortland State had the fastest time of the day with a 10.54.
In the decathlon competition, senior Mike Miller did not compete in the second day due to a hamstring injury.

Ken Klatka, just inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame in October, 2011, enters his 37th season as head coach of the men’s track and field program in 2012-2013. He ranks among the nation’s most successful coaches, with an overall record of 442 wins, 144 losses, and two ties for an impressive .753 winning percentage. Under his direction, Kevin Coyle '12 won the 2011 Division III Indoor Long Jump National Championship.
