Golf Finishes As NEWMAC Runner-Up
, Oct. 24, 2002 – Springfield College sophomore Michael Regan (Granby, Mass.)
placed third overall at the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Golf Championship held at the Captains’ Course in Brewster, Mass.
Regan, who shot a two-round 158, was named to the NEWMAC All-Conference team by virtue of finishing in the top six at the championship. For the fifth straight season, Babson claimed the conference title with a score of 640. Only four strokes separated the other three teams, as Springfield College took second with a 692, MIT placed third with a 695, and WPI came in fourth with a 696.
The 2002 NEWMAC Men’s Golf Tournament was held as part of the New England Intercollegiate Golf Championship.

Joe Eadie enters his 20th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional.
