



Complete ResultsBrewster, Mass. - October 18, 2011 - The Springfield College men's golf team placed 15th at the 2011 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships at The Captain's Course on Tuesday. Springfield totaled 315 strokes in the opening round before posting a second-round team total of 317, giving the Pride a final score of 632at the event.
Springfield was 8th among Division III teams, as the competition featured schools from all three divisions.
Leading Springfield in the competition was Chris Vincent who fired an opening round 77 before carding a 79 to finish tied for 40th with a 156. Also tying for 40th was Kyle DiFranco, who rebounded with a 75 after scoring an 81 on the opening day.
Mike Nowakowski tied for 64th with a 159 after scoring a 77 and an 82, while Alex Brown posted a 161 (80-81) to finishing in a tie for 82nd.
Rounding out Springfield's golfers in the event was Ryne McEvoy, who carded an 89 and 84 en route to a 173.
Joe Eadie enters his 20th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. He also lead the Pride to their first NCAA Division III Championship in program history. Read more.
