Wrestling Finishes Second At Ithaca Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y. - Nov. 8 - Springfield College junior
Scott Fay (Danbury, Conn.) won the 285-lb. weight class to lead the Pride to a second-place finish in its season opener at the Ithaca College Invitational on Saturday.
The College of New Jersey won the meet with 153.5 points followed by Springfield (137.5), Delaware Valley (Pa.) (134.5), Ithaca (129.5) and Cortland (117) in the top five.
Fay scored an 8-3 decision over The College of New Jersey's Keith Bjorhus in the final match to earn the championship title.
Senior
Tom Medonis (Wethersfield, Conn.) finished runner-up in the 197-lb. weight class for the Pride.

Jason Holder will enter his third season as head wrestling coach in 2013. Holder had a standout first season at the helm of the Pride, leading Springfield to the NEWA Duals Championship and taking three wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.
