Mellage Sets School Record in 3-Meter Dive
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Nov. 10 - Paced by junior
Allison Mellage's (Union, N.J./Union) school record in the women's three-meter dive, the Springfield College (2-1) defeated MIT, 157-139, at the Art Linkletter Natatorium.
Mellage, who has already qualified for the NCAA Championship in the one-meter dive, established the school record in the women's three-meter dive with her score of 310.88 which qualifies her for the NCAA Championship. Mellage also won in the one-meter dive with a score of 270.29 this afternoon.
On the men's side, the Pride (0-3) lost to the Engineers, 164-127. SC senior
Dan Bartholomew (Willits, Calif./Willits) took firsts in the one-meter dive (202.12) and the three-meter dive (237.22).
