Men's Track and Field Competes in All New England Championships

Anthony Salvucci Complete Results

Easton, Mass. - May 10-11, 2013 - Anthony Salvucci placed seventh in the 3,000 meter steeplechase to lead the Springfield College men's track and field team at the New England Championships this weekend at Stonehill College.

Competing against the best from Division I, II, and III throughout New England, the Pride finished tied for 36th in the event.

Salvucci crossed the finish line in a time of 9:21.77 to score the only points of the weekend for Springfield.

In the hammer, Peter Andrews took 14th with a distance of 159-08, while in the 100 meter dash, Ken Toal ran a time of 11.40.

Sean Nunan ran a time of 56.02 in the 100 hurdles, good enough for 17th, and teammate Nolan Manley was 23rd after crossing the finish line in 57.49.

In addition, Springfield's 4x100 relay team of Manley, Adam Swartout, Nunan, and Toal combined to run a 43.89 to take 22nd.
