Field Hockey Beats Wellesley, Falls to Ithaca

The Pride’s road trip continued on Sunday when SC traveled to Ithaca College for a non-conference match.
Daly and sophomore midfielder
Sarah Brooker (Auburn, Maine) both scored for the Pride, but it wasn’t enough as SC fell, 3-2, to the Bombers in overtime.
Ithaca got out to a quick 2-0 lead after scoring two goals in a 44 second span in the first half. Daly responded with a goal just before halftime and Brooker knotted the game 2-2 a mere four minutes into the second frame.
Ithaca (5-7) sophomore
Natasha Snowden ended the Pride’s hopes for a victory when she snuck a shot past Pardue 14 minutes into overtime. Snowden also assisted on Ithaca’s two first half goals.
Pardue ended the day with 14 saves.
SC’s record moves to 10-7 (5-1 NEWMAC).
