Nikki Hay: Women's Indoor Track and Field

Nikki Hay has been chosen Springfield College's Female Maroon Club Athlete of the Week (Dec. 10) after she several terrific performances at the Harvard Open over the weekend.

Hay, a native of Norwalk, Conn., was a NCAA Provisional Qualifier and qualified for the Division III New England Championships, Open New England Championships, and the ECAC Championships, when she recorded a distance of 36'8 1/2" in the triple jump.

She then went on to qualify for the Division III New England Championships, Open New England Championships, and the ECAC Championships in the 60 meters when she crossed the finish line in 8.19 seconds. Hay then followed that up with a Division III New England Championship and the ECAC Championship qualifying mark of 16'7 1/2" in the long jump.

Hay was also a member of the 4x400 relay team comprised of Jen McBride, Lacey Cartier, and Nicole Reynolds that qualified for the Division III New England Championships, Open New England Championships, and the ECAC Championships when it recorded a time of 4:11.00.

The Pride return to action on January 26, 2008 when it competes at the West Point Invitational.
