The 4x100 relay team of Laurie Jenkins, Crystal Davis, Erika Marks, and Hay ran a time of 46.93 in their first national final together. The team entered the race as the third seed after qualifying with a time of 46.91 in the prelims. Illinois Wesleyan won the national championship as they combined to run the fastest time in Division III and a new stadium record, a 46.07
As for Hay, who was competing in her fourth event of the weekend, she took home All-America honors in the triple jump after finishing fifth overall in her speciality. The senior's best jump of the afternoon was a 38-10 1/2 (11.85m). Hay, who won the national championship in the triple jump at the indoor championships, qualifed for the finals with a 38-4 3/4 (11.70m).
Hay previously finished fifth in the long jump on Thursday to earn All-America honors and ran the ninth fastest time in the 100 meter race on Friday.
As a team, Springfield finished tied for 25th at the 2010 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships with 12 points. Illinois Wesleyan was crowned the overall champion with 54 points.
