WATERFORD, Conn. Oct. 30, 2004 – Springfield College junior
Pat Hepper (Bernards, N.J.) ran a personal-best time of 26:49 to place 11th at the NEWMAC Championship meet on Saturday (Oct.30). By placing in the top 14, Hepper received all-conference honors and led the Pride to a third-place finish in the seven-team field.
Senior co-captain
Steve Wilson (West Hartford, Conn.) and senior
Pat DeRocco (Utica, N.Y.) placed 15th (27:16) and 16th (27:22), respectively. Sophomore
Pat Gann (Guilford, Conn.) was the fourth SC runner to cross the finish line (27:39, 24th) followed by junior co-captain,
Scott Barton (Fort Plain, N.Y.) in 30th, with a time of 27:50.
Next up for the Pride is the ECAC Division III Championships, November 6 at Tufts.

Head Coach Bryan Brown
Bryan Brown will enter his second season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2012. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, led Springfield to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships a year ago .
