



Springfield, Mass. - May 10, 2010 - Senior Joe Heney was selected as the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week after guiding Springfield to its' third-consecutive league title over the weekend. In the two tournament games, Heney combined for five goals and three assists to lead the Pride offense.The Plainview, N.Y. native dished out of pair of assists in first quarter during Springfield's 14-5 semifinal victory over MIT. In the championship game, Heney erupted for six points off five goals and an assist to lead the Pride past Wheaton, 12-7, and clinch a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
For the season, the senior attackman leads the Pride with 43 points off 27 goals and 16 assists.

Keith Bugbee enters his 30th season as head men's lacrosse coach at Springfield College in 2013. Under his direction, the Pride is one of the top programs in the country. Bugbee's coaching record stands at an impressive 317-149 (.680 winning percentage). Read more.
