This marks the fourth time this season that Pennington earned the weekly accolade, while Sobel was named the league's top diver for the third time this season. It is Keefe's first recognition this season.
A freshman from Monson, Mass., Pennington led the Pride to wins over Hartwick and Union on Saturday. She continued to build upon her impressive inaugural campaign with wins in both the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard freestyle. Pennington swam a 24.29 to take the 50 free before cruising to victory in the 100 free with a time of 52.93. She also was a member of the 400 free relay that finished first in 3:41.92.
Keefe had a solid performance on the diving boards in Springfield's tri-meet. The Waltham, Mass. product was victorious in the one-meter event, tallying a score of 249.45, while also taking second in the three-meter ever with a 232.30. The Pride outscored Hartwick 168-75, while beating Union 143-98.
On the men's side, Sobel was victorious in both the one- and three-meter diving events. The senior from Stratford, Conn. took the three-meter with a score of 326.75, and then won the one-meter with a score of 308.70 to complete the sweep.
