Baglow, a senior from Amherst, Mass., is an All-American, while Pocius, a sophomore from Wallingford, Conn., is the reigning ECAC Division III Rookie of the Year. Each competitor this season has been recognized as an ECAC Division III Performer of the Week. Baglow's story has been particularly compelling as she has successfully recovered from two Achilles ruptured tendon surgeries.
1450 The Hall's College Weekly airs each Friday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Baglow and Pocius are scheduled to be interviewed for two segments of the show beginning near the top of the hour.
The Springfield women's gymnastics team has met with success thus far in the early part of the 2013 season. Head Coach Cheryl Raymond's troops have beaten Ithaca, a perennial eastern Division III power, on consecutive weeks in late January and early February.
The squad is about to set upon a busy weekend. The Pride will travel to New Haven on Saturday to take on Yale, Bridgeport, and West Chester. Then on Monday (Presidents Day), SC returns home to take on Rhode Island College at 4:00 pm in Blake Arena in a previously unscheduled meet.
On the day in between, the Springfield College men's gymnastics team will host the New England Invitational at Blake Arena at 1:00 pm.
