Fuller Arts Center

Springfield College unveiled the remodeled Fuller Arts Center, the site of visual and performing arts and other academic programs, at a ceremony in the Center’s Appleton Auditorium in March 2009.

The $1.2 million renovation was supported with a lead gift from the George F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation, and included a significantly expanded entryway and foyer, with a new façade of glass, brick, and limestone. It will be the site of receptions, art exhibitions, other college programs, and events that are open to the public.

In Appleton Auditorium, the Center’s performance space, there is a new computerized stage lighting system and the floor has been raised to improve stage visibility. The stage has a new floor and curtains, and the seating area has new carpeting. Enhancing sound are a new ceiling, sound system, and acoustical wall panels. New paint and finishes have been added throughout.
