SPRINGFIELD COLLEGE LAUNCHES $40 MILLION FUNDING CAMPAIGN Springfield College has announced a $40 million funding campaign, "Leadership for the 21st Century," (visit http://leadership.springfieldcollege.edu) to support construction of new facilities, academic programs, scholarships, and a variety of current and future needs. BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTS WALSH, BLAKE The Springfield College Board of Trustees elected James E. Walsh '64, Ph.D. of East Longmeadow, Mass., as chair, and elected Helen Davis Blake G'67 of Somers, Conn., and Stuart, Fla., as secretary, at its annual meeting in May. Walsh succeeds R. Lyman Wood of Hampden, Mass. Read more.

DAVID BRAVERMAN NAMED VICE PRESIDENT FOR STUDENT AFFAIRS, DEAN OF STUDENTS Springfield College has named David G. Braverman, dean of students at Texas A&M University - Kingsville, to become its vice president for student affairs and dean of students effective Aug. 1, 2005. Read more.
